Brittany is THEE best thing that has ever happened to me. (In my best Kip Dynamite voice) I’m so thankful I had the courage to ask for her number 20 years ago. Brittany made two loaves of the best ever banana bread in addition to a full Thanksgiving feast and two other loaves of pumpkin bread. She’s been trying out new recipes for holiday neighbor gifts. This is the best time of year!

The 11th hour has come and it is loud. Louder than

The 11th hour has come and it is loud. Louder than before. Louder than ever. Your family and friends fighting with one another, picking sides. Raising their voices to be heard. Spitting out the cliff note facts they think they might know. She said he said. Wrong. No. Stop. Enough. We are split. There is no talking to the other side. Either side. Republican or Democrat. Whoever wins there will be half the country holding each other, screaming, crying, packing their bags (if they can) and moving because they may have lost hope in this beautiful country of ours. The land of the free and home of the brave. Whatever happens tomorrow let us all remember we are living on this pale blue dot in the middle of nowhere and none of us knows what's going on. What I do know is that we should all have at least ONE responsibility and that is to simply LOVE one another. Simple as that. Let us just try and keep our heads high and grow as a nation and stand strong by each other's side no matter the outcome. Do this in a kind way. A loving way. Not in a, "I told you so" way. No more hatred. No more bigotry. Let us work thru our beautiful and flawed differences. That's all. Thank you for reading. #vote

I shot this during our last visit to the skatepark in St. George, Utah. This was a challenging place to shoot with the artificial lights and the fast paced action. My son has been riding a scooter for a short time and is gaining confidence every day.

We witnessed some brave people taking advantage of the cool, cloudy day by trudging through the ultrafine pink sand. They hiked the mountains of sand to try boarding and sledding down these dunes. This was a quick stop on our way back from Kanab to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park.

Veyo Volcano under the Milky Way.
Four years ago, I took a similar photograph. Two nights ago I decided to try again on the way back from Pine Valley, Utah. The foreground was lit thanks to a local police officer. A sheriff pulled up behind me as this shot was almost exposed lighting up the foreground. He wanted to make sure we were safe and didn't have car troubles. We are very fortunate to have a clear, dark sky close to home.

Freya, our youngest girl, is nearly 14 months old. She eats solid foods and can walk all by herself. Her favorite thing to play with is a soccer ball and her golden retriever friend, Benny. She knows how to say "I love you", loves to dance, saying "cheese" for the camera and spending time with her mom, @bricow
