My wife and I flew silently over the city of St. George, Utah, in a hot air balloon in 2003. As we drifted over the black ridge (previous St. George Airport above Bluff Street), we were in awe at the new vantage point. We ended up landing near the Tonaquint cemetery. I was surprised to see the same pilot, Bill Howes, navigating his balloon near our home. His passengers were a friendly, local couple celebrating their anniversary. Happy Anniversary Jennifer and Adrian, it was a pleasure meeting you both! While I was taking their photograph, they asked if I was the photographer for the balloon company. I told them, "Nope. I just love taking photos and I live right here. I'll be happy to send you the photos." If you ever wanted to try a hot air balloon ride, just do it!
